Teen Book Club - Tails and Tales will meet once a month, for 45 minutes, from April to September 2021. Join Young Adult Librarian, Kim Claire and others to talk about this month's book. We will be meeting via Zoom (though we may be able meet outside in person during the summer). The six books chosen for the club all have an animal that is either telling the story or a significant animal character(s) in the story. Two of the books are graphic format books, and one is nonfiction. Click here for a synopsis of each book. The first 10 registrations for each meeting will have the option to receive a copy of that month's book, that may be kept, if you wish. If all 10 of the "keeper" copies are taken, a hold will be placed on a library copy for you to borrow. If you are one of the first 10 people to register you will be sent an email when your copy is ready to pick up. All books must be picked up at the Library. Please do not use a school email address when you register. Tails and Tales Teen Book Club is intended for ages 12 to 17. Book Titles and Meeting Dates: Thursday, April 22: A Cat Story, by Ursula Murray Husted, 2020. Thursday, May 20: Across the Grass Green Fields, by Seanan McGuire, 2020. Thursday, June 17: Edge of Nowhere, by John E. Smelcer, 2014. Thursday, July 15: Threatened, by Eliot Schrefer, 2014. Thursday, August 12: Grand Theft Horse, by Greg Neri, 2018. Thursday, September 9: Rotten, by Michael Northrop, 2013. This is an online event via Zoom. An invite will be sent at least one hour prior to the start of the program to the email given at registration. Please be sure to check your clutter/junk/spam boxes if the invite does not appear in your inbox, and please do not use a school email address (@hwschools.net) to register. It is possible that we may be able to meet in person, outside, during the summer. Got a question?
