Join us for an evening of education and socializing for the Boston District Dental Society's 2020 Annual Meeting on Thursday March 5th at 5:00 pm at the Revere Hotel located in the Back Bay at 200 Stuart Street! This year will feature special guest speakers covering topics on "Pain Managment" and "Infection Control" since 2020 is a license renewal year! David Keith, DMD, BDS will give a lecture on pain management, and Kathy Eklund, RDH, MPH will be lecturing on infection control. CE will be offered for both of these courses.Dr. David Keith, DMD, BDS is known for his work with temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. Born in the UK, Dr. Keith trained at Guy's Hospital Dental School and qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of London. He obtained Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Keith received his DMD from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and is currently clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has authored over 100 original papers, book chapters and reviews on TMJ surgery and OMFS. Dr. Keith sees patients at both his Boston hospital-based practice as well as a facility in Danvers.Kathy J. Eklund, RDH, MPH is director of infection control and occupational health, and research subject and patient safety advocate at the Forsyth Institute in Boston. She is also an adjunct associate professor at the MCPHS, Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. Eklund is a past chair of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and prevention (OSAP) and has served as secretary of the OSAP foundation. She is one of the authors of the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings- 2003, and a member of Dimensions' editorial Advisory Board.Registration includes dinner, CE credits and two drink tickets and entertainment for the evening.
